Dished Based Solids Settling Tanks, Uses in Wastewater Treatment

Enduramaxx dished base solids settling tanks with conical bases are mounted on steel frame used extensively for settlement and concentration of difficult materials that form sludge. This enables liquids to be removed for disposal & recycling through the concentration of the sludge in the bottom of the cone.

What is Sludge?

Sludge is a thick soft mud or other viscous liquids is typically the by-product of wastewater treatment, industrial wastewater solids and settled suspension from potable water treatment. It often contains various types of pathogens as well as heavy contaminants, in the case of industrial waste, chemical pollutants. Sludge contaminated by chemical pollutants or heavy metals, demands complex treatment. Other applications are sludge settlement tanks on small sewage treatment plants, the concentration of food and agricultural waste for anaerobic digestion, removal of grit for water reuse on effluent treatment plants and concentration of apple mulch after cider fermentation.

Features of Dished Based Settling Tanks

  • Complete drainage and easy removal of difficult sludge’s
  • Cone base enables the tank to be cleaned and drained
  • Decanting/racking ports allow for liquor/effluent removal at different levels
  • Side access to cleaning and maintenance

Customised Sludge Settlement Tanks

In addition to providing bespoke sludge holding tanks and wastewater storage solutions for a diverse cross-section of clients, equipment mounting and customisation of these sludge tank include welded fittings, sockets and flanges. Racking ports allow draining of the water off the sludge while leaving the sediment in the bottom of the cone tank. Other options include industrial mixers liquid level sensor assemblies, fill pipes are available. PN16 and ANSI welded flanges, welded sockets and as well as airtight lids and vents are available to suit your project.
