Coagulation / Settlement Tanks are used for a wide variety of applications which require the addition of chemicals to the water being treated to form precipitates and settle suspended solids in the raw water. Applications include the addition of lime to raw water in the cold lime softening process, which also reduces the alkalinity of the raw water, and the addition of lime or other alkalis to effect precipitation of insoluble hydroxides. A site settlement tank is used on construction sites to allow silt to drop out the water in the tank. Settlement/sedimentation tanks are used as sedimentation water treatment, primary sedimentation tank or settling tank.
Flocculation Treatment Mixer Vessel mixing systems are designed for a number of applications, including:
Above ground effluent tanks or sewage effluent holding tanks are suitable for temporary effluent waste storage installations where connection to a mains sewer is not available. Other uses for these tanks include sites in remote locations, motorway construction sites, camping, glamping, and events. These tanks are available in sizes from 2500 litres to 20000 litres either as bunded or single skin tanks.
Effluent Sludge Settlement Tanks are a key part of operations in a wastewater treatment plant used for storage of raw effluent, treated effluent and final effluent. The aim of operating a sludge tank is to hold sludge after it has been removed from the wastewater treatment system, settle out sludge further so more water can be recovered and further digest the sludge before disposing of it. Some have aeration and mixing that is delivered by mechanical and electrical means which aids digestion of the sludge that has accumulated.
