Plastic Chemical Storage Tanks For Chemicals & Acids

Written by enduramaxx.marketing | May 10, 2021 11:00:00 PM

Our Plastic Tanks for Chemical Storage are available from 50 to 40,000 litres with increased wall thickness for storage of chemicals and reagents with specific gravities of 1.5 SG – 2 SG.

These plastic chemical tanks are rotationally moulded, UV stabilised for many years of outside use and a smooth interior to help resist the growth of algae and bacteria and are easy to clean.  These chemical tanks are manufacture from rotationally module MDPE polyethene or PP polypropylene which is used for aggressive acids and oxidisers.

Chemicals Stored in Plastic Chemical Storage Tanks

Many chemicals can be safely stored in plastic chemical tanks. This includeS:

  • Hydrochloric acid
  • Ferric sulphate and chloride
  • Aluminium sulphate
  • Various polymers

This is by no means the extent of the chemicals that can be stored in Polyethylene and Polypropylene –  the extent of the resistance to corrosion of both Polyethylene and Polypropylene is often surprising to those who have historically used stainless steel or GRP.  The ability to withstand chemical effects on all surfaces, without the limit of fill cycles or chemical reaction, can make rotationally moulded an ideal material for chemical storage tank manufacture.

Single Wall Plastic Chemical Tanks

Our Single Wall Plastic Chemical Tanks are available up to 40,000 litres and can be customs with BSP inlets and outlets, PN16 and ANSI flanges, welded sockets, vents and fume proof lids for fuming chemicals.

Bunded Chemical Storage Tanks with Secondary Containment

Enduramaxx Chemical Storage Tanks with Secondary Containment are designed for acid and for a wide range of chemical storage.  The dimensions of these bunds are customizable to you your requirements and are available from 50 litres capacities for dosing tanks to multiple 30,000-litre tanks capacities.

These Fabricated Tank Bunds for single tanks contain at least 110% of the volume of the tank and are made from black PE or beige PP for the dosing tanks and drums.  More details on the HSE advice on secondary bunding can be found here.

Plastic Dosing Tanks

Chemical dosing is used in conjunction with several types of equipment including coagulation and flocculation (Alum & Ferric), RO plants (Bisulphite & Antiscalent), ph. adjustment (Caustic & Acid), Demineralisation plant regeneration (Hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide), Boilers (Hydrazine) etc. Chemical dosing can also be used separately e.g. hypochlorite dosing to sterilize water supplies.  These bund tanks are designed specifically for use in the water treatment, effluent treatment, and process control sectors, these are UV stabilised and available in black for use with chemicals and suitable for Hydrogen Peroxide.

Plastic Bund Tanks

A Chemical Storage Bunds provides an additional layer of containment to a dosing tank and preventing the contents of the tank from entering a watercourse or contaminating the land. They are important considering the nature of the chemical agents that can be stored in a dosing tank.

This allows the full contents of a dosing tank to be contained with the Chemical Storage Bunds should the dosing tank itself become mechanically compromised due to rupturing or damage, as well as contain a spillage should any of the fittings become broken or loose.
