Storage Tanks for DI Water Treatment Systems – nearly every water treatment projects which are built requires bulk storage tanks, waste tanks, chemical storage tanks and sludge tanks. Every wastewater system is unique as the size of tanks type of tanks and chemical storage tanks required depend on the amount and type of wastewater generated and the treatment requirements.

Enduramaxx works with equipment installers by manufacture tanks fitted with flanged and pipework to the project’s requirements with the help of 3D CAD software. This means the not only can projects be built offsite but means that customers can see how the plant will look on completion.

Water Treatment System Tanks & Equipment

DI Deionized Return Water Tanks

Used for storage of deionised water. DI water is making be passing water through resins which are often a mixed ion exchange bed with both positive and negative charged resins. Cation and anion resin in the water exchange with H+ and OH– in the resins, producing H2O (water). Deionised pure water is reactive, and its properties start to change as soon as it is exposed to air.

DI Treated Water Tanks

These are used for the storage of deionised treated water. Popular sizes for these tanks on systems are 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 and 30,000 litre tanks. More details on these are available here.

Activated Carbon Filters

These carbon filters are used as an effective means of removing chlorine. The carbon granular reduces the hypochlorous acid (HOCL) to a chloride ion and over time chlorine reaction becomes degraded which then requires new carbon.

Demineraliser

This is used in water treatment terms to remove all minerals from water. Being a similar process to DI, demineralised water and may contain NaCL or salts, while deionized water is demineralised.

NaOH Storing Tanks / Dosing System

NaOH stands for sodium hydroxide, a strong base. It is highly alkaline and highly corrosive. Sodium hydroxide is typically used to regenerate the anion resins used in DI water systems.

HCL Storing Tanks / Dosing System

NaOH stands for sodium hydroxide, a strong base. It is highly alkaline and highly corrosive. Sodium hydroxide is typically used to regenerate the anion resins used in DI water systems. This is used to clean scale, accumulations of salts or an alkaline condition.

Regeneration Waste Tank

A Regeneration Waste Tank used in wastewater treatment and aims to make effective use of sludge and organic waste. Depending on the method of sludge separation, it is also referred to differently, e.g., ascent rate, filtrate or as press water. More details on these tanks are available here.

Batch Treatment Tank

These tanks are used as a batch reactor generally for activated sludge type wastewater treatment systems. These tanks are designed to can carry out various treatment operations in one tank based on a specific volume of wastewater.

Polyelectrolyte Dosing Systems

Is used to give a surface charge to natural particles meaning they can be used in thickeners, conditioner and clarifying agent in wastewater treatment.

Sodium Bisulphate Dosing Systems

Sodium Bisulphite is the typical chlorine reducing agent of choice for larger RO systems. This chemical is generally stored in 300 or 500 litre dosing tank. Sodium Bisulphite needs to be added far enough upstream of the RO elements to ensure at least 20 seconds of reaction time.

Calcium Chloride Dosing System

Gently this is used as a hygroscopic compound as a desiccant for removing dissolved water in liquids.

Sludge Holding Tank

Sludge Holding Tanks provide storage and blending for the thickened waste activated sludge, primary sludge, imported sludges, and scum before further processing. The size of the tank will depend on the volume of sludge being produce. More detail is available here

Filter Press

An industrial filter press is a tool used in separation processes, specifically to separate solids and liquids. The machine stacks many filter elements and allows the filter to be easily opened to remove the filtered solids and allows easy cleaning or replacement of the filter media. Wikipedia

Discharge Water Tank

Discharge water tanks are storage tanks that store treated dirty water before disposal. These are generally emptied by pumps and are designed generally to have a constant feed going through.
