Temporary Water Supply On Construction Sites, Over the years Enduramaxx has worked with many of the largest construction companies in the UK providing water tanks for construction welfare units, water to flush toilets as well as bulk water tanks to keep processes running such as concrete mixing and batching.

Temporary water supplies are needed where there are no, or insufficient mains water supplies at the outset of work on a site. In such circumstances, above-ground networks of water storage tanks, water pumps and pipework can be quickly removed when the developer services team or the local water utility provides a permanent mains water supply to the site.

Above Ground Water Tanks and Bowsers

Static water tanks and bowsers are used to store clean water for site welfare blocks for uses including toilet flushing and welfare. Waste effluent tanks are also used for storage tanker of waste from welfare blocks and fitted with Bauer connections and mushroom vents for tanker collection. Large stocks of these tanks are available all the time for the same day / next day delivery or collection when required. There are guidance notes available for the construction industry at HSG18 (rev.1) and HSG 46.

Water for construction sites is also used for soakaway or percolation testing and concrete batching plants usually storing water in 10,000, 20,000 & 30,000-litre tanks to act as header tanks as large volumes required to keep the concrete production running smoothly.  Water for vehicle wheel washing can be a vital part of containing mud contamination from the site onto the public highway.

Other uses include water tanks for dust suppression which we can supply with site and road tow dust suppressions bowsers from 500 to 10000 litres engineered to meet the challenges of dust suppression on construction sites and quarries.

We also manufacture a range of raised water tank frame for water tanks and can be fitted with water pumps to help water pressure on site.  Our static water tanks are WRAS approved under The Drinking Water Inspectorate (DWI). “Protection of public health of consumers through safeguarding the quality of drinking water is a key aspect of the drinking water quality regulatory framework” Regulation 31 ensures that water suppliers, when producing and distributing drinking water, only use products and substances that do not cause any detrimental effects on the safety or quality of the drinking water.

Fluid Category 5 Tanks For Construction Sites

A lot of water tank applications on construction sites will come under the Fluid Category 5 AB Air Gap Break Tank Requirements – The installation and use of cold water storage cisterns and sectional tanks connected to the public water supply must comply with Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 in England and Wales and the technically identical Scottish Water Byelaws. In order to meet these requirements, Fluid Category 5 Break Tanks must be used in this instance.

As a Water regulation solution specialist, we supply a full range of products that provide backflow protection for Fluid Category 5 risks. These are fluids that represent a serious health risk due to the concentration of pathogenic organisms or highly toxic or radioactive substances present within them. This can include mains water supply on-site for welfare and for concrete batching plant installation.  More details of this scope can be found here.

Towable Water Bowsers

Towable bowsers are used where moderate consumption is envisaged. Our range of Towable Water Bowsers is WRAS approved (black and boat blue) for the storage and transport of drinking water. These water bowsers are available as road tow and site tow as required.

Enduramaxx works with several companies that can supply clean water in bulk water tankers delivering up to 30,000 per load. Disinfecting and chlorination of pipework on site that is not suitable for clean drinking water or that will be used to connect up to a mains supply is a requirement and can put you in touch with consultants who can carry out this work.
