Which types of pressure washers are best? We are always asked are what kind of jet pressure washers are best, and what kind of power washer the customer should be buying?

In main there are two types of pressure washers;

  • Coldwater pressure washers
  • Hot water pressure washers

Whether a hot or cold wash unit is best for you will be down to the application you have.   We can run over with you your needs to find out the application for the pressure washer, where and how they intend to use the pressure washer and how often this will be used.

Cold Water Pressure Washers

Cold water pressure washers are the most popular and can easily be mounted on a water bowser or a skid bowser. Professional-grade units are available for construction, councils and contracting applications.  As these are powered by an engine, they can be used in remote locations away from an electrical supply.

Engine Powered Pressure Washers

Engine-powered jet power washers are more portable and can be used away from electrical outlets making these best for outdoors applications.  Whether it be a hot wash, cold wash, site tow, highway tow or skid bowsers, Enduramaxx has a range of Yanmar and Honda powdered pressures washers for your application.

Hot Water Pressure Washers

Hot water pressure washers have several advantages over cold water pressure washers.

  • Hot wash pressure washers can higher reach temperatures, having higher water temperatures allows these units to clean much more efficiently.
  • Hot water is better at cleaning off grease, oils, and dirt, meaning a quicker washing and less detergent required.
  • Hot water is more effective at killing germs, mould, and bacteria than cold water.

A hot water pressure washer has a greater up-front cost and generally require more careful maintenance however these can be offset against the savings in both time and chemical used.  Hot water pressure washers are beneficial when you need to remove grease and oil from a surface, graffiti and areas needing to be purged of germs.
