Enduramaxx cross link polymer tanks - we are pleased to announce that our Vertical and Cone Bottom Tank ranges are now available in Crosslinked Polymer.
The main benefits of using Crosslink Polyethylene is added strength and durability of the tank and the capability to store liquids up to a maximum temperature of 80°C.
During the rotational moulding process of the tank molten polyethylene resin is heated to a temperature of between 160°C and 165°C which causes a crosslink reaction to occur whereby the polymer chains are then bonded to each other. Due to its chemical structure (being a thermosetting polymer following a crosslink reaction) the polymer outperforms any conventional Polyethylene resin.
This crosslink reaction changes and transforms the characteristics of the polymer resulting in:
- Toughness
- Impact resistance at room temperature and down to -40°C
- Chemical resistance including some hydrocarbons
- Resistance to flame
- Outstanding ESCR (Environmental Stress Crack Resistance of Polyethylene)
Typical uses of Crosslink Polymer tanks include Industrial Tanks, Chemical Storage and Chemical Mixing Tanks.
